Hi, I’m Ky!

I’m a certified personal trainer in Vancouver with over six years of experience—and over a decade of competing and coaching in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts. Born in New Zealand, I’ve lived between there and Singapore for most of my life, and now I call beautiful Vancouver, Canada, home. My multicultural background helps me connect with people from all walks of life, and helps me tailor my coaching to suit each client’s unique needs.

Growing up, I was a skinny teen who struggled in the gym, not knowing what to do and how to do it. I had to teach myself through trial and error which, unfortunately, led to a lot of time being wasted and sometimes injuries. Over time, I learned proper technique through good coaching and guidance, and that transformation changed my life.

Now, I help people like you build strength, move with confidence, and train smarter—with a focus on precision and technique. My approach focuses on mastering the basics, creating sustainable habits, and delivering real, lasting results.

Whether you’re a beginner learning the ropes or a seasoned lifter refining your technique, my personalised approach ensures every session is tailored to your goals and fitness level. 

I offer private 1:1 personal training and small group training for up to 4 people, so you can choose the setting that works best for you.

What Are Your Prices Like?
My sessions range from CAD 95 to CAD 140 per session, depending on your chosen package. I understand that everyone’s needs and lifestyles are different, so I offer flexible options to fit your goals and budget.

I recommend starting with a 90-minute trial session. This includes a movement analysis, a discussion about your goals, and a workout to give you a chance to experience my coaching style firsthand.

  • Take your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu performance to the next level with specialised strength and conditioning training. With 15 years of Brazilian Jiujitsu experience (both coaching and competing), I understand the physical demands of the sport and what it takes to excel on the mat. We’ll focus on building grappling strength, enhancing endurance, and developing explosive power, all while reducing the risk of injuries. Whether you’re preparing for competition or simply want to optimise your performance, I’ll tailor your training to meet the unique needs of your BJJ journey, helping you roll stronger and more efficiently.
